i don’t “make” anything happen that is not in favor of both. Nor do I hammer down and belly ache like you may think. It’s a fetish for me and I don’t really care to keep anything from my wife. It was a simple question and I hate to say; you got really sophisticated in your response.

I've always found oceanfront villas to be more romantic, but whatever floats your goat.

Anyway, as some (well, maybe one) others have suggested, very slowly introduce it as jokes, maybe later move up to a little dirty talk in bed about it, and see if her reaction is horror/disgust or interest/excitement. Stop if it becomes even slightly apparent that she's against it.
 
If your significant other is very open-minded, there may be a way to introduce this into the relationship without divulging your level of interest and/or past or current experiences. So why is your idea to introduce your wife into it and not simply stop being interested in it yourself? You expect that there will be resistance therefore you ask for advice. You want to slowly introduce the idea so there is as least resistance as possible. -> To be honest it often sounds like emotional blackmail, you push it until she gives up and finally does it for you because she loves you.
The key here is "often". I am no saying that is how you are going to do it. But if you search for this common topic here, lots of people do it that way.

I myself am generally open about myself but Very cautious and picky as to who knows about my love of certain nonhumans. Generally, I will break the ice on the subject during the dating because then it's less likely to fly south.
