Based on my best guess, there are at least 30 million people actively practicing this worldwide, and probably around 100 million who have thought about it but never followed through. I’m talking about a global scale here. I know the beastforum alone was about a million and a half strong, so it’s not a stretch to imagine the real numbers are far larger
