I think you should wait more than 3 days after you think heat is over to know it's really over and to allow her hormones to settle. Give it two weeks after you think her heat is over and her interest should return to normal by then.

Being hornier than normal is not enough to indicate ovary issues. If your dog goes into heat once a month then that's a problem. If your heat cycle doesn't end when it's supposed to - her swelling doesn't go down and she continues to have discharge - then that's a problem.

You should look up canine reproduction on Google for a list of the timings and signs for different stages of heat.
