Historical beastiality in writing

I’m sure this has been discussed before, but I wanted to open it up again. I’m someone very interested in ancient to medieval history. beastiality is definitely talked about, and in some places very openly. Does anyone know when it became seen as more of a fetish or abnormal?

I figure in Roman times, people were pretty much OK with it. In early Christian times, it began to be considered a form of illicit sex. By the Renaissance, opinions worsened, as some people feared that it could cause weird hybrids. If you're interested in the full history, Miletski has that pretty well documented.
