No, it is not safe! I've been well informed, and personally wasn't even going to take action before 100% sure. I love animals just as much as the rest. I'm sure I'm not the only person on here who had this question, and hopefully someone else who wouldn't ask learns from my example

Yikes.

If you need to literally drug your dog to get him to fuck you, you don't need to be having a dog in the first place. The fact that you'd even consider this speaks volumes about you. If he's not interest, then he's not interested. It's as simple as that.

i don't really see why would you even want to do that in the first place or why would you think it even has the same effect on them as on humans. you do know they don't get hard before sex like we do?

That's why I'm asking! I'm not a retard, I know dogs anatomy. Just that my dog isn't easily stimulated

"Sildenafil is a drug used in cats and dogs with lung and heart problems. It is the same active ingredient as Viagra, which is approved for use in human medicine. It is used to treat conditions such as pulmonary hypertension and erectile dysfunction in men. Although Viagra is not safe for dogs, it can help them cope with certain health problems. A vet should be consulted to determine whether Viagra is right for your dog.

If a dog consumes Viagra, there are a number of risks associated with the drug. The drug may increase the risk of erectile dysfunction and can increase the chance of vomiting. If a dog does swallow Viagra, he could be suffering from liver failure, a condition that is extremely dangerous for dogs. In addition to the potential side effects, it can also cause gastrointestinal problems.

If a dog eats Viagra, it can cause a heart problem, as well as pulmonary problems. The medication is safe for neutered male dogs, so the question of what happens if a dog eat’s Viagra remains. If you want your pet to be healthy, consult your veterinarian. The drug can also lead to a high risk of death. It’s always better to be safe than sorry."

Literally 15 seconds on google.

I did see that, but l also found an article talking about how viagra was tested on dogs to find if it was safe for mammals. So I figured I would ask a source of people who might've tried it already

The working substance in Viagra is sildenafil and it was originally developed as a treatment against hypertension. The erections (in human males) is actually a side effect that could be used as a treatment for erectile dysfunction.

A quick search on PubMed (a database for scientific articles) shows that sildenafil has been used on dogs in veterinary clinical studies and it seems to be used as a treatment in animals as well. It's still inadvisable to administrate this substance to your dog without a prescription from a professional. You don't know what underlying health issues your dog could have that could be aggravated, and the outcome could be fatal.

Besides, erection and lust are two different things. It is possible to have a boner without wanting to bone. Or as @pes puts it:
A chemically caused erection will not come with the arousal or sex drive anyway.

There are also ethical concerns. Is it right to drug someone against his will? Restricting someone's autonomy isn't something we want to do unless it is absolutely necessary, and even then it is something that needs to be constantly re-evaluated.

Don't be afraid to ask questions. There are no stupid questions, even if we sometimes make it seem like it, and many others could have been wondering about this as well.

I'm not a retard
are you sure about that? you literally just asked if it's okay to drug your dog... to get your rocks off. while also assuming someone else here did/does it as well (which speaks volumes about you in itself). i'm still quite shocked "oh, i'll drug him!" is anywhere on the "how to get him interested" list.

your only saving grace is that you at least asked for someone else to do the googling for you before attempting anything.

I´m glad someone asked this
So when another one thinks of this and search for information he/she would see that it´s not necessary

Another stupid idea of this type.

If you actually have to ask about situations like this, you are clearly retarded. Sadly, this is how most of the world is now… Drrrr

Another stupid idea of this type.
Don’t give them any more ideas.

I know how it works in men, but no knowledge about dogs. Probably different, because as someone said, the dogs erection only begins when inside the bitches vagina. Until then its ‘stifness’ is from a sort of bone inside and the direction controlled by the sheat.
About men - I notice that a number of people believe that Viagra can elicit an ‘automatic erection’ in men. That is not true - when sexually aroused there is send nerve signals to the genitals, which trigger chemical signals to the blood vessels and thus an erection.
Viagra makes this chemical signals disappear slower, but a nerve signal is absolutely necessary. That is why Viagra has no effect if the nerves are cut (can happen when treating prostatic cancer)

That's a nice thought, it really is... But seemingly 89.5% of users on here think that the little magnifying glass icon in the top right corner is purely for decoration. :p
We need to raise awareness of the use and function of the decorative magnifying glass. The people must be enlightened.

Swapping medication between species is a bad idea.
My vet. told me that paracetamol is an excellent drug to you and your dog - but will kill your cat!

thats just a horrible idea. Like letting your dog drink alcohol, or forcing weed smoke on them. Be a good owner :D not a date rapist with blue pills

No, I heard Paracetamol, Ibuprofen and Aspirin will kill a dog too, since it gets their stomach's pH under its safe limit provoking an ulcer.
