Sounds like that for me. I initially thought I was going to like male animals since I liked male humans at first but tbh I like female animals better, mares, bitches etc. For me I like the experience with a female.

I am personally bi for humans but lean heavily towards straight. like 90% straight 10% gay. I am completely gay for dogs and horses though.

human females and males are VERY different from each other in both physical appearance and character traits. Animals essentially only have different genitals and slight character differences. So it makes sense from a biological standpoint to not really care as much about your animal partners gender
 
I’m gay with humans and bi with horses. Strange what attracts us...I am very attracted to male dogs but not female. Mares really attract me....human females do not at all. I really enjoy anything with horses...saliva, pee, sweat, manure....but with humans all of that is very repulsive. Even with humans I will take the horse first for sure. Humans are last resort.
