Do you think bad dragon will ever change back to normal selling?

Hi i was wondering is there a chance for bad dragon to come back to thier normal buisness model not thier drops model.
I wish they would come back to normal toy making but i guess they are making a lot of money in this model...
 
I don't think they will anytime soon. They're trying to trick their customers into thinking that there isn't enough toys to sell as their customers come to order them. That is to make the toys seem more desirable than they really are. Making sex toys is kind of like making jello. There is no manufacturing limitation at all. I get angry when companies engage in anti-consumer behavior out of greed. By the way, making your own sex toys is very doable.
 
Only if "the next big thing" comes along to replace them. They went too mainstream with too high a demand for their product. Their demand is so high they can't possibly run off their old made to order business model. And they sell too many units to waste their silicon on premade drops of XL toys that aren't high demand, hence when they do drop things it's all small and medium. It's best to just forget they exist and move on.
 
It really is a shame because I used to purchase from them all the time (when they had just started out). I really don't understand why they've made it so obtuse to obtain. Seems like they're practically sending their customers off to look elsewhere now.
 
I wish, wanted Rex for ages but they never sell it. I don't understand why they advertise products that they just straight up refuse to make pisses me off.

Rex is actually one of the ones I have, but I'd like to get another one that's slightly smaller. I've got the Large size, which I can deepthroat to the knot, but I can't take the knot *sad face*.

Glad I could build up a collection before they went over to their new way of doing business. Instead, I've looked elsewhere, but haven't been as satisfied. I've had a good track record with BD - pisses me off too.

Their "customer" base has changed. They used to be strictly the domain of furries and zoos, hence they used to have characters and artwork for all their toys, but around 2017 they started winning adult toy awards which brought them into the eyes of the mainstream porn industry as exotically shaped large toys. Since then they've eliminated their characters and refocused their target customer base to the mainstream audience. Their production capacity (and limited silicon supply) is dedicated to supplying the mass demand for mainstream inventory sales, where they make much more money than from custom orders.

There's a dozen other non-mainstream animal toy manufacturers now. There's NO reason to still be chomping at the bit over bad dragon.

Why do they make more money on inventory sales? Why is the silicone supply limited when I can buy silicone readily myself? Genuinely curious.

The same reason Ford makes more money selling Escorts that come off the assembly line for $25k than Lamborghini makes for selling custom hand built $600k beasts. It's a pure numbers game, sell 1,000 inventory toys you make by quickly mass poring sold color/firmness molds, or sell 10 custom mixed multi color/firmness molds, 2 of which come out damaged and have to be repored and the damaged sold at a discount.
 
If you can create an artificial shortage and get custom made pricing for bulk made products, why would you ever go back? Community, loyalty, appreciation, fairness, haha no, any life that was there was drained by the pursuit of money. However, you have more choices then ever for this type of product, seek them out.
 
Bad dragons way of doing business has always been very questionable, just these really absurd lead times, the longest i had to wait for a toy from them was three months, and that was just the time it took for them to get around to manufacturing my toy, the shipping ended up taking another month, three months to manufacture a silicone sex toy is absurd, if they are so backed up by orders that it takes them three months they are doing something very wrong, they are a manufacturing business that are absolutely clueless about scalability and expansion, after that four month wait i stopped bothering with them completely since there were better options by then.

In comparison i custom ordered a XL elephant from exotic erotics and had it delivered in a month and half of that time was shipping.

Screw bad dragon and their overpriced toys and bad business practices.
 
Theres companies that deal with our forum directly that are essentially made to order. Lots of times more realistic than a BD toy and cheaper. This is one of those cases where we dont need to fund the large mega corp when locally sourced, organic non-GMO mom and pop dog dick replica producers are plentiful 🤣

american meats toys do the same model but i think it is a production problem as its one person making them i believe
 
Last time I tried ordering from them, I just wanted a normal "rex" toy, and it took 5 months after ordering before I canceled the purchase because it still wasn't shipped. I wasn't interested in waiting so long for a toy.
 
Tried buying once online and it took forever to get shipped to me. Looks like something theyve yet to fix/beef up their manufacturing and logistic processes.
Im lucky that a local sex shop keeps a decent wall stocked with bd toys. Originally looked into bd dragon cause of brand hype. Their prices and shipping times made me look toward other brands
 
In my opinion, they also abandoned some of their more interesting models. The only dildo I might be interested in is the Chance Flared, but I can't stretch that big anyway, so why bother.

It's funny that BD has been THE brand for the longest time and now I wouldn't ever buy from them, because of the ridiculous shipping time and this drop system. I can understand for smaller creators, but they have the money to expand, I am sure of it.
 
Hi bougth my last one at MrHankeytoys.com at I'm very pleased... (dog dildo XL quite big LOL). didn't took too long, I think in a month and a half the deal has done, and I live in Western Europe...
