Do male dogs know when a woman ovulates?

Maybe, but since it is a different species, it has no relevance to them except maybe analyzing the scent.
 
Women produce certain pheromones when they ovulate that even we men pick up on subconsciously.
Well that's bullshit. There's no such thing as human pheromones. There's evidence that there were some time in the past, but no specific chemical compound has been isolated as an existing pheromone. We've evolved to be visually attracted.

Still service dogs can be trained to smell sugar levels, when seizures are going to happen and many more. They are capable to smell a difference, but if not linked to any learned and useful behavior for them, they will most likely not pay attention to it.
