did everyone have to update emails?

im just super confused. did something happen in the week i havent checked this website? i was forced to change my email because it said it couldnt email my old one- even tho ive been getting consistent emails from this website and this website alone. i just had to spend 30 minutes creating an entirely new email account just to be able to reply to dms.

is this a security thing? did i miss an update? or did zv just bug out on me lol
