Anyone here have a Siberian Husky lover?

Mostly referring to men with female huskies. I'm beginning my research of the breed, as I am somewhat interested in getting one as a second dog.

I've seen a few videos of men mating with huskies. They seem like simply amazing lovers and plenty big enough to take a large penis. Though videos don't really tell the story and I'm very interested to find out if anyone here has one and what she's like as a pet and also as a lover.

I have one! I have one!

I've got her about two months ago and she's 1 year old, almost 2. She's very playful, loves to run, loves to destroy things when I'm not home, very lovable and loving dog.

When I got her, she was covered in fleas and ticks, peed inside whenever and wherever she wanted even though I took her out about four times a day, destroyed my wallet, my PC's mouse, my TV's remote, one of my college notebooks and a few other minor things. Now a days, she only pees outside, she loves to sleep on my bed in a spooning position, the last time she broke something was the bathroom's toilet paper (I was gone for about 7/8 hours) and still very energetic. She would sometimes get bored from running in the park but if I run towards her or jump next to her, that's enough to get her going for about 30 more minutes.

Not recommended if you can't get her to run or play with her for the majority of the time you're at home. She still hasn't gotten into heat so I can't tell you anything about mating with her first-hand but I was slowly touching her a few weeks ago and I'm at the point where she would voluntarily spread her legs for an oral or let me wrap my arm around her tail when going to sleep, stuff like that. She's very comfortable of me touching her nono zone x3

Awesome! I appreciate that very helpful reply.

Yeah I've heard about the destruction but I'm wondering how much of that can be prevented with training. You didn't get her from a breeder, clearly, so you've had a bit of a rocky start. The level of destruction you mention is rather worrisome. My saluki girl has been very good about not chewing up anything significant, and I got her from a breeder at 5 months of age. Sadly, she's very likely never going to be able to be mated because she's just too small. Though she does enjoy oral and a good finger rubbing quite often. The down side to a saluki is that they are just not very cuddly. They are more like large, bony cats but wonderful in so many other ways.

The energy level does have me worried as well. My saluki sleeps most of the time and I take her to the dog park for a long play nearly every day except when it's too hot or raining or if I'm just not up for it. Having just one dog does mean they rely solely on you for attention. I'm hoping a 2nd dog would be good for them both. When I'm home, I am sitting at the computer much of the time and my saluki doesn't care. She's quite content to sleep or sometimes pick up a kong and start playing by herself. I've heard a husky is a bit more demanding than this and can get in trouble if you don't entertain them. I'm not sure how people handle that, to be honest. Like, how do you have a life outside your dog if that's the case? Or is it maybe not quite as bad as I'm thinking?

When I do go out to work, it's in the morning between about 3:30am and 7:30am so I'm never gone for very long in a single stretch. I also do have a crate which I've used for my saluki to ensure she doesn't pee on things while I'm away, and it has come in very handy. Though I've heard a husky is harder to potty train than most breeds.

Ultimately, from what I can tell, the benefits outweigh all the troubles. I've heard they are extremely soft and cuddly dogs, making them ideal companions for someone who is single. Add zoo to the mix, and they seem to be ideal lovers as well, especially if the few videos I've seen are anything to go by.

We must keep in touch! I'm very interested to know how things progress once your girl goes into heat for the first time. Mine too has not gone into heat yet, and she will be two years old in six weeks.

At two years old she should have gone into heat 2 times already. It could be that she has very small heats maybe only lasting a day or two. If they have this condition the usual swelling that occurs normally when they are in heat will probably also be very small and perhaps unnoticeable. This condition can continue their entire life or it can expand into a normal cycle as they get older. There is really no exact science to it. Some of them have this condition and some do not.

My breeder said that sometimes a saluki can go till the age of 3 before first heat. They are slower to mature and longer lived than most dog breeds. She also had a serious injury with a broken leg at 8 months of age, which I am told might have thrown off her normal maturing.

Additionally, I've never seen male dogs at the dog park take particular interest in her as if she was giving off sex pheromones, so even if the heat was small and unnoticeable, you'd think at least that would have been a thing. I can't rule it out, but as far as I can tell, there has never been a heat cycle.

Sure! I've got no problem with keeping in touch!

I got her from an owner in a rather shady part of the city, I had a few friends of mine alert in case something wrong went down but I just couldn't turn down the offer, they were giving her for $20.000 Ars and a breeder husky is around $65.000. They were selling her because they were moving to the city center and they couldn't keep her.

Anyways, I managed to tone down her destruction a lot in just a month. I'm on vacation now so I'm spending a lot of time with her. When she wants attention, she makes sure you're aware of that by jumping on you, barking at you, pawing you, etc. She doesn't bark senselessly, whenever she barks or howls it's because she wants something or just wants a conversation. If I howl back at her, she howls again and it's hilarious lmao. They're very vocal. My stray doesn't pee inside nor does she destroy so if there's a pee puddle or something broken, I know it was the husky. She also knows when she fucks up. Whenever I get home and there's something broken, she immediately sits and puts her ears back and takes the guilt. My strategy is keep her with the guilt for as long as possible until she lays down in a corner with a sad look on her face, that's the best way to teach her without laying a hand on her in my opinion. She gets bored quickly but when I'm home playing on the PC, she lays next to me and plays with her toy or just lays with her eyes open.

My stray is much much happier with the husky than being alone with me. They play inside the house and outside, she's always wagging her tail now that she has a companion. I don't have a crate because my house is rather small and crates are expensive. I used to put a plate in the kitchen and a plate in the living room, one for each but they share the plates (I give the husky cooked food and the stray dog food because the stray never liked cooked food) and they never growled at eachother for food so I started putting one plate next to eachother and they're both eating half of each plate. Their fur is sparkling and they're overall much healthier than when I used to give them only dog food.

Huskies (or atleast my husky) doesn't like to fight at all. The second a dog growls or shows their teeth in an aggressive way, she just runs away, looking at the aggressor, and barking at it.

In case this was directed towards me, my husky already hit her first heat with the previous owner, I'm waiting for her second.

lol I'm not sure what unit of money you're talking about but 65,000 dollars is probably not what you're referring to. Although I've seen them listed for $3000 Australian, which is twice as much as I paid for my purebred saluki. Then again I've seen husky pups also listed for $400 AUD which I cannot explain. I guess that's the difference between a professional breeder and someone with a litter.

My house is also pretty small, though the crate I've had for many years and it's been wonderful being able to lock away my pup for a few hours while I'm out because I really can't afford to have all my stuff destroyed. Especially computer cables and so on. There are a lot of wires around my desk which would be terrible to lose not to mention the power cables being dangerous to chew. Possibly some bad tasting stuff might be a deterrent. But overall I think I would just need to make sure she wasn't loose unsupervised for at least a year.

I do like this idea of having 2 dogs as a means to keep them both entertained. It has to be hard being an only-dog kind of like being an only-child. Though I'm not sure how well a husky and a saluki would get along. They are both ancient breeds who love to run although a saluki is very cat like and aloof where a husky is the opposite. A saluki never ever makes noise unless it's really important. We're talking maybe 6 times I've heard her bark ever. They are supposed to howl but I haven't gotten her to yet. She's also timid when it comes to food and toys, only taking them if it looks like nobody else is interested. Difficult to train because she's not particularly food motivated. Overall, I have no regrets in getting her. She's a stunningly beautiful athlete. Just not very good potential as a lover or cuddler, which is something I really need since I'm likely to remain single and zoo-open.

I recently discovered this youtube channel which seems to be a pretty solid resource for husky info.

Argentinian pesos, $64 Ars is $1 USD

My husky chewed my PC's cables only once and I guess that she got a kick because she never touched a cable again. It was my monitor's cable, 220v 5A. I had a replacement cable (god bless the standards) but I did scold her for a while and she never went towards the place where my cables are again.

If the saluki doesn't want to play with the husky, the most probable thing that were to happen would be the husky jumping around the saluki and barking until either they play or the husky gets tired and trust me, it takes a LONG time for a husky to get tired.

When my husky chewed my PC's mouse and the TV's remote, I locked her up in the kitchen with a bowl of water as a punishment. She was scratching the kitchen door since I locked her up (about 10pm after dinner) until around 4am, when she got tired and went to sleep

Okay I missed that you have a Saluki and I was thinking that you had a Husky. Two different breeds and two different cycles. Yes your Saluki can take longer because they don't develop quite as fast as other breeds. Sorry I missed that and I hope I didn't throw a scare at you.

Impressive. You're very knowledgeable about these things. Not many people know about salukis at all!
It did give me a moment of concern though I did remember that my breeder said to not be worried about it. Sometimes his breeding bitches only have two or three litters in a lifetime of fifteen years before he retires them. He definitely is opposed to over-breeding.

Wow that is some massive stamina! Sounds like a real handful. Man I hope I'm up for that. The breed options are just so slim. I got my saluki because our personalities clicked very well. She's just too small to do anything involving penetration because their hips are very narrow even though they are fairly decent sized dogs height wise. But If I get a husky I do want to make sure it's for good reasons as well as me being prepared for it. I'm used to unusual dog breeds, in fact I prefer it over standard lab/retriever/etc breeds that so many people get. I don't think I'd enjoy a generic dog very much, to be honest. Maybe I'm attracted to intelligent breeds. Though a lot of the intelligent ones are also a bit neurotic, like border collies, who always need a job to do. I wouldn't be able to give that kind of dog a good life I think.

Another thing I am not sure about is just how likely it is for her to be sexually interested. This is something I've struggled with in my saluki. She loves the finger rubbing but doesn't like the finger inside. Maybe that's because she hasn't had her first heat yet, I don't know. She's definitely old enough. Just can't get my finger in very far before it hits that muscle ring she refuses to relax. So I'm thinking rather than stressing over the issue I might be better off with a bigger dog -- but a breed I'd actually enjoy, which is difficult to come by. A husky might be too energetic for me but maybe not. It's hard to gauge. Because I'm at my computer so often, I'm hoping 2 dogs would entertain each other. There would be plenty of lamb bones to chew on, as I can get these in bulk. They have done wonders with my girl, giving her something to do instead of making a mess of my stuff.

Well, for the sexual interest, that really depends on the dog. Every dog has their own personality and the sex drive is part of it.

As for the energy she has, sometimes I want to kill her but I can't stop laughing internally at the messes she makes and she tries to help me clean it up when she knows she fucked up. It's cute and hilarious. The best thing I've ever done in the past few years was getting a husky. I don't regret it one bit. They're very intelligent up to the point when one day I was playing on my PC and I turn around and the door was open, both dogs went for a stroll. She managed to open the door without me noticing. I rushed off to get them and they haven't wandered far. I picked up the husky like a fluffy bag of potatoes and called my stray and went back home. She didn't regret one bit. Since then I kept my door locked whenever I leave my house and for a few weeks whenever I was in the house. She really likes living with me so her attempts to escape aren't happening anymore. I had the sliding glass door open today because the heat was unbearable (the sliding glass door is next to the main door and I have no A/C) and she just sat next to the open window looking outwards without any attempt at leaving the house. She loves to look out the windows

Also, she analizes every situation. You sometimes look at her staring at something and then doing something else. It's like she pauses to analize what's going on before reacting

It's not that I'm knowledgeable on these things it's that I'm studying to become a veterinarian. Right now this study includes 360 breeds of canine throughout the world. You wouldn't think that there would be so many differences since they are all canine but there are. Funny thing is that knowing differences isn't that hard - What's really hard is to know what breed they are by their picture - I mean so many look alike. Anyway I am sorry that I missed that before.

That's awesome! The world needs veterinarians who are also zoo. Though now that I think about it, it's not like anyone can know. But it's still cool.

Yeah, that's always an unknown factor isn't it? Sounds like you have quite the adventure even w/o any of the zoo benefits (yet). I bet you're really looking forward to trying that out. I know I would be. Though I'm a zoo-virgin so I really don't know what to expect at all. The most I've done is give oral and put a finger half-way in. And tbh she's a bit too small to really enjoy giving oral to even. Whereas in one husky video I saw, that puss was almost the size of a human's!

I've posted a thread in the porn section with the five husky videos I found a couple years ago. When I watched them again recently, it got me super excited about the potential of this breed. The thought of having a really amazing lover is extremely exciting especially since my human love life has been so miserable (and nonexistent for the last eight years). But these videos are very encouraging!

If you have the patience and stamina to care for a husky, especially of a young one, I'd say go for it. I have so many hilarious anecdotes in just two months, it was worth the destructions she made.

The other day I bought 600g of chocolate 85% cacao with almonds. I open the chocolate and I think to myself that I should get a coffee. The second I turn around, she puts two paws on the table and takes off with the chocolate. I chased her around the house until I managed to pull the chocolate out of her throat.

One day I come back from college and I went to take a shower because I was very sweaty. When I get out of the shower, I see her on our bed with latex gloves between her paws. I study vet and I have latex gloves in my backpack. She managed to open the backpack and pull out a few gloves.

Today I was making chinchulines in the oven and when I pulled the tray full of juice and grease, I waited for it to cool and I put the oven tray on the kitchen floor for her to lick it. When I finish eating and go to the kitchen to wash my plate, I see the entire floor covered with grease paws. While she was licking the tray, it was moving and she had the brilliant idea of putting her two front paws on the tray to keep it from moving. Long story short I washed my plate, cleaned her paws, and the kitchen floor for the second time today lmao

Wow, the antics! So opposite of my dog. Today I got home to discover she had pulled two kleenex out of the box and ripped them into little pieces on the floor. Not the whole box mind you, but just two. It's like she's a "dog lite" in terms of behavior. I have a feeling I'm in for a heck of a surprise if I get one of those huskos. It's something to mentally prepare for I guess. If I just dove in w/o being aware, that would be horrible.

One thing that I wonder about is how they handle hot weather. They seem so... insulated. For cold weather. It doesn't even snow here. But it reach 40c on certain summer days.

It's almost summer here and the heat is pretty high. I have no A/C, just one tall fan. I take her out when I wake up (I'm in summer vacation but I still wake up early just to take her out) and I don't take her out until 6pm when the heat dies down. Yesterday the temp was 38° so I wet her with a hose when we got to the park and as soon as she dried up, we went back home. I also removed the fan piece from the tall foot and put it in a bucket so it would be on floor-level for her. The worst month here is January so I'm preparing for the worst.

I had chessies before and it's pretty muh the same. Snow dogs in intense heat. The best thing you could do is keep them cool and NEVER EVER EVER shave them. Their coat isolates them from the cold as well as the heat and their skin has very poor melanin so they would get sunburnt easily without their coat. I'm not sure about huskies but you can't bathe the chessies frequently because that would destroy their skin so I keep shampoo products to the bare minimum. I only shamponed once, when she got home for the first time because she was bathed in mud

The other day I went to a friend's house for a LAN party and when I got home, she greeted me and I kissed her. After kissing her I look at her and ask "why the hell do you have minty fresh breath??" Turns out she ate three packs of mint halls I left on the table. She loves to steal, especially if it's on the table. She also taught my stray to put her front paws on the table and look around. I never saw my stray lift her legs off the floor. She doesn't like it when you pick her up at all. Lmao the husky needs to learn your manners, not the other way around

haha yeah. Well salukis are known for counter surfing but thankfully mine does not. I can leave food on a plate and go outside, grab the mail, come back in and the food is fine. I suppose that means she's highly unusual for a dog. She's just incredibly timid about taking things if she might not have the full okay to do it. Even when I put food in the bowl, she waits till I've entirely walked away before approaching it. This is all opposite of what you'd expect for a dog.

I did hear about never shaving a husky. And I suppose it makes sense that the coat insulates from the heat as long as their body heat is not going too high. Like I suppose a lot of running on a really hot day is a bad idea since there is no way to get rid of that body heat. But yes, the coat would def protect against the oppressive sunshine we get in the summer here in AU.

So, with yours she has already had her first heat and you're just waiting for the second one? How long have you had her? How far apart are the husky heat cycles? It sounds like she might already be ready for you to start introducing her to sexual stuff. Has she expressed any enjoyment from rubbing or oral or anything?

I've had her for two months now. I'd assume that their cycles are 8/10 months apart. She lets me touch and lick her but she hasn't expressed any joy nor uncomfortableness yet. I'm going slow with her because she's new for me

I gave some thought into this thread through the day and I must say, you need to remember that owning a dog isn’t just about sex. What if you buy a husky and she doesn’t want to get naughty with you? A dog is like a family member, you must be with them for the rest of their lives and have them have the happiest life you can give them

That's exactly right. When I got my saluki, I had hopes for mating, but I do not regret getting her at all even if we can't do that. She's an amazing dog and I love having her with me as-is. If I get another dog, I need to keep the same thing in mind. Though I really do hope I can eventually get a dog who does want to be with me in that way, without having to get 4 or 5 in the house. From what I can tell, all dogs who are not desexed love sex once they mature. They do need to be big enough though.

Today was the first day since I got her that I was gone for a while and she didn’t break anything at all

Man the upside must be really good for people to deal with so much destruction.
Can that be trained out of them? Or do you think it's because she's not been with you for too long yet?

Of course, everything is teachable. It just takes time and patience. You need to scold the bad behavior and praise the good behavior. Destruction isnpretty much like peeing inside in terms of teaching

Never choose a breed by its looks. Huskies are northern working dogs.

My parents got us a female husky when I was 7 (1997/8) I think. She was really really beautiful and a bit bigger than the other huskies I've seen around here, even than the males.
She was an escape artist, we used to take her out with a chain collar and she quickly learnt how to slip it off and take off running. We had to chase her 2 times and it wasn't an easy task. She loved to run. After that we started putting a small stick to lock the chain so she wouldn't be able to slip it.

She was not particullarly destructive. Only as a pup when she started to change her teeth she would chew some of the furniture. But I don't recall her breaking anything significative. I was a young boy at that time, so my memories may not be the best.

She had a different personality, she was not much of a cuddler. If she wanted attention she would come and ask for rubs, but when she had enough she would leave. She liked to be alone, most of the time she would go upstairs to the roof and lay under the sun.
I can't say much about cuddling on the bed and that because she was not allowed on the bed (I was young at that time). For the same reason we never managed to become intimate. When I started to understand that I liked animals (at around 13), and started trying with her, she wanted nothing with it, so it was impossible.

She was a rather healthy dog, a bit picky with food, she would only eat 1 or 2 brands of dog food.
On summer she would get "hot spots" on her fur. Patches of fur started to fall and it was itchy for her, we used to put a spray and a cream that had silver and lidocaine.

We lost her to cancer on 2011.

Again remember that sex is not always a possibility, and they are companions for life. My current girl was spayed shortly after I got her and she doesn't enjoy sex anymore so it's been 8 years without sex for us.
And if your saluki hasn't had her heat yet, you may have a chance. I wouldn't bother her more until her 1st or 2nd heat.

Definitely a husky lover myself. Great dogs, wonderful dogs. Gorgeous, good companions, need to be trained but that’s no excuse for hurting them and be prepared for lots of brushing

Hey there. So, it's been over a year and I remember you saying your girl hasn't gone into heat yet.

Wondering how things have progressed. Have you been able to make love with your husky? If so, how was it?

When I was a kid we had one. Never mated with them but they are amazing and gorgeous dogs. If It wasn't for the fact that im so lazy id love to have one. They have to much energy for me. So be ready for that. Lots of excersize. Dont get distracted by their sexyness
