(20M) Wanting to have my first time but I’m so nervous.

(M20) new to this website, I posted my intro in the introductions a couple weeks ago.

I adopted an amazing dog in March, and not just for the reason of sex but for the reason of wanting a dog for awhile. I live alone btw.

She is spayed but from the shelter said it’s not a “full spay”. As far as I’ve seen or noticed she doesn’t seem interested in sex. I’ve tried to show her my penis a couple of times but that’s about it and she doesn’t seem like “interested” but again it was dark in my room and I got nervous as heck so I put it away.

Honestly just looking for some tips and advice. I love her dearly and the last thing I’d want is to hurt her.

I’m just overall nervous because what if someone near me finds out, and ahhhh it’s so exciting but so nerve- wracking.

I'm no expert but from what I can find online, not a "full spay" probably means An ovary-sparing spay (OSS), also known as a partial spay or hysterectomy instead of a traditional spay (ovariohysterectomy) meaning her uterus and usually the cervix are removed but the ovaries are left intact; "allowing the dog to continue producing hormones like estrogen and progesterone"

Your dog will continue to have hormonal heat cycles because the ovaries are intact, you can expect Increased affection, restlessness, or irritability. Swelling of the vulva without bleeding (since the uterus is removed). She will emit pheromones that attract males; vigilance is needed to prevent unwanted attention. Mating can cause trauma since the reproductive tract has been altered.

My takeaway is she could still get horny if it's not a "full spay" but if you do decide to get intimate with her you have to be very careful not to injure her. Start slowly with non-penetrative oral and touching if she is receptive; then advance to gentle insertions?
