Lol if I drove that truck I wouldn't give a tinkers damn ? when he makes that kind of money it's hard to be scared of anything.Gee, I hope that's not your name on that truck.
Thought it was 442 that was in the charger 383 is a Chevy motor right? These modern "muscle cars" don't do a thing for me...but a 67 Charger, Fully restored with the 383 dual 4bbl and A-707 tranny will blow most of the pony drivers down the road. A Wrangler for Sunday and Work...The Charger for Saturday night...That'll do.
We call those curb squirrels or rice burners where I live lol.I've ridden in a car like the one you described. It was impressive, and I immediately saw the difference between that and the little
tuner cars, the owners of which actually believe them to be muscle cars. What a joke.

I enjoy my bikes. Cars are work and transportation. Bikes are heaven and hell.
Nothing says grocery shopping like a flying fort
Maybe age, but Im pretty sure "Diff'rent Strokes" hasnt been running anywhere in years....
You should re read your post take one of those of's out ?? goal.Oops... Did I date myself?
And for the record, it was a wild-ass guess - As usual, I couldn't make heads or tails of his babbling, either, and took the meaning to be some mangling of the spelling of "Willys" (as in the old Jeep-alike) since the thread is automotive-based. I only threw out the Diff'rent Strokes reference as a stream-of-conciousness association that struck me as momentarily funny.
'Cept that one's the wrong color... It needs to be Deep Purple! But I imagine you've come to expect such opinions from Perfect Strangers. At least you don't have to worry about me Knocking at Your Back DoorView attachment 169850
I would love a Bentley. Not so great on our funny roads, and expensive on tyres... So pretty though.
I did not buy the car. I wouldn't have paid that kind of money for a car.Just a saying off a movie. I think the original quote was, " what you talking bout Willis " but I just say Willis. As in like yo Willis, why not show me that vett all 700 horses of it.
The 440 with the sixpack was not available in 66 or 67....at least it wasn't a Charger option. The original 426 Hemi was the top mill for the years, but it was a pretty expensive option...would pass everything on the road but a gas station, and it was hard to find a race on a Saturday night. The 383 was a Chrysler product. The 442 was the Hurst package for Oldsmobile; that one is the most desirable ( by price) of all the muscle cars of the time.Thought it was 442 that was in the charger 383 is a Chevy motor right?
The 383 Mopar engine dates back to 1959, the second year of the big block Chrysler engines. Chevy had a 283 starting in '57, their 383 is a stroker motor made by using a small block 400 crankshaft in a 350.Thought it was 442 that was in the charger 383 is a Chevy motor right?
Yep, the '67 Charger was the first year of the 440 in a B-body and the 6 pak didn't show up until '69.The 440 with the sixpack was not available in 66 or 67....at least it wasn't a Charger option. By the way....that 426 Hemi gave the pore lil Ford drivers so much trouble that the big Holley Carbs had to have a throat reduction plate installed for the track. The primary Barrels were big enough to slip a fist into.
I didn't have the money for the 70 Nova either but you can still see it ?I did not buy the car. I wouldn't have paid that kind of money for a car.
IV always been a Plymouth duster fan, the grey one in dazed and confused to be exact would be sweet. The 440 with the sixpack was not available in 66 or 67....at least it wasn't a Charger option. I really wish they would bring back the 396 that came in the 67 Chevelle I think had a super charger package if I'm getting this right. The 383 Mopar engine dates back to 1959, the second year of the big block Chrysler engines. The Duster 340/360 were fun little cars, sadly the Duster was not available with the 383 as the '67-'69 Barracuda it replaced had.IV always been a Plymouth duster fan, the grey one in dazed and confused to be exact would be sweet.
I'm not aware of any factory supercharged 396s, the SS stood for Super Sport, Studebaker however loved superchargers and offered them from '57-'63 in the Golden Hawk and Avanti as well as a rare few Lark Daytonas.I really wish they would bring back the 396 that came in the 67 Chevelle I think had a super charger package if I'm getting this right.
That's when my ass would take my vary blessed set of skills and make it have a 383 lol.The Duster 340/360 were fun little cars, sadly the Duster was not available with the 383 as the '67-'69 Barracuda it replaced had.
