Just wanted to see what everyone likes to drive if they had 3 choices 1 being a Sunday driver 2 something for fun and 3 something for work may it be the farm or business here are mine Screenshot_20210614-081632_Google.jpgScreenshot_20210614-081506_Google.jpgScreenshot_20210614-082032_Google.jpg

These modern "muscle cars" don't do a thing for me...but a 67 Charger, Fully restored with the 383 dual 4bbl and A-707 tranny will blow most of the pony drivers down the road. A Wrangler for Sunday and Work...The Charger for Saturday night...That'll do.
I've ridden in a car like the one you described. It was impressive, and I immediately saw the difference between that and the little
tuner cars, the owners of which actually believe them to be muscle cars. What a joke.

Never did care much for the looks of the pre-1970 Chargers. 70-75's looked good, though. As far as my "favorite of the favorites", gimme a 70-74 'Cuda any day of the week. As far as "daily driver", I'll stick with my 92-era Mazda B2200 or similar. Big enough to haul 3-4 bales of hay and a few sacks of feed, not so ridiculously huge it can't be put in today's parking spaces that all seem to be platted for something the size of a kid's Radio-Flyer wagon.

As a second choice, the new Challengers at least *LOOK* like they've got some balls, even though I keep hearing mixed reviews that seem to lean toward the idea that they're stored in a jar in the glovebox.

lot of people didnt like the early Charger or the Barracuda....they carried serial numbers starting with XP for the first two years, short for Experimental. In 68, they came up with the sleeker designs that fit the market. So did GM and Ford.
The 66 and 67 models shared exterior parts with the Coronet, as the Cuda did with the Valiant. They were marketed as personal luxury vehicles, which meant that all controls were easily reached by the driver, and passengers were not encouraged to change things around. They had Electroluminous dash lighting
( 220 volts...I learned the hard way....) hideaway headlights, fender nose lights visible to the driver and folding rear seats that became a deck. And those windscreens on the back....I was peddling those for 800 bucks apiece when we parted out one or the other. Most fun I ever had not on a horse, that car.

And yeah. The reintros LOOK sorta kinda....but it just ain't the same car.
