1957. About 4 years later the Grundig folk had reworked this into a Stereo which eventually started the Dual line. My dad had a yen for one of these, and found one at a fire Sale. His favorite station was the Stereo broadcaster WPAT-FM, out of Paterson, NJ. I still had it 30 years later, but lost it to a flooded basement.

This stuff was junk from the very beginning... spf was about 3....But the marketers were brilliant. The Formula got screwed with every time the company changed hands, but they never changed the scent. One whiff and its summertime in the 1950s

The little guy was known as "Sprite"....he looked creepy enough to work on Pa.Avenue at best, but this one's one of the creepiest.

Loie Fuller was an Art Nouveau Danseuse, whose act was mostly using voluminous Silk Scarves under colored lights to evoke Natural Shapes of Jellies, Butterflies and abstractions. There is some footage on youtube, and for those who know "Fantasia", the Goldfish sequence was influenced by her movements.
The photos here are outdoors, in daylight....She made it work.

Classic, No mistaking the 911 but I prefer my more modern 2006 987 Boxster
