Security Question: Telegram, SEAGM.COM, and Amazon Gift Cards

ZV has been very good about raising my Consciousness level when it comes to security regarding our shared interest. Recently, somebody I've met and who my trust ask me, via a conversation on Telegram, to use a platform called seagm.com to buy an Amazon gift card for Germany and send him the code for it. Is all of that secure? Or would it create problems? Does anybody here have any insights or have you used these platforms? Advice, cautions, etc? Much appreciated.

why do he need such codes?

*facepalm*
Does the word scam not exist in your brain?
No real person takes giftcard codes as payment, aside from the fact you shouldn't be paying for anything like "this".

That is 1000% a scam, DONT DO IT

This is someone you "trust?" lol. I guess you "trust" this seller so much? The reason they want you to give them gift cards is so you can't dispute it later when you find out you got had.

Well I guess I shouldn't have used that word, trust. But the person is a member here and has been a popular member here. My issue was not with him. My issue is with whether the platforms are secure. The context of my question is the concern here on zv with law enforcement and personal privacy and security. I know who this person is. All I want to know is whether anybody has any experience with these platforms and knowing whether I can retain my anonymity if I use them. I hope that clarification helps to keep people on point

So this is another person asking for gift cards? Off which platform? If here, please DM me their username with info like screenshots. But no matter what platform, even FB. Someone asking for gift cards is always a scam. Privacy and security doesn't stop you from being scammed.
But they want you to buy something off a website? DM me more info please.

Don't trust platforms themselves to keep everything about you private and anon. Trust but verify is what you should be using. Also, using a VPN. Try signing up without using your real info. Like phone numbers.

No. It’s a scam. And if you’re buying some illegal content DONT. Stop!

I really hope you didn't go through with it bud.
there's like zero reason you should buy anyone a gift card unless its meant as a good intention sort of gift.
Eh, wouldn't be surprised if they did.
I got the shortest non informative dm ever. Next week he'll come back talking about being scammed.

I didn't go through with it. And it really wasn't a question of a concern over being scammed. It was a question about whether that platform was Secure. I've carefully read the cautions on here about confidentiality, privacy, security, surveillance, encryption, avoiding certain messaging apps Etc.
