Regarding PETA, I didn't know they wanted to take away pets, but I would believe anything pertaining to them, and I would never turn my back on one of their members, anyway.

*facepalms and sighs* It's interesting some of the things that humans choose to get worked up over. I've been vegetarian for some 50 years now and choose vegan whenever possible. Why, because it's consistent with my desire to be the source of as little pain, suffering and death of other living beings as much as my ignorance permits. Would I prefer to see more humans embrace this 'philosophy', and emphatic yes BUT each of us has to travel their own life's path as I have chosen to travel mine. I'm not out to 'convert' anyone but I certainly will do what I'm able to manifest a kinder, more loving earth. I will defend myself however from those that attempt to convert me to their way of thinking or denigrate my life's choices!
