How safe is it to have sex with a female dog & adoption?

Hello, I'm new here and I'm a male considering adopting a new puppy. I've never been a pet owner before. I tried doing my own research, but a lot of the articles I read are biased, in my opinion, because the entire article is against humans having sex with their dogs, so I never end up getting a conclusive answer.

I guess a few things that are on my mind since I don't really want to use a condom:
- If I adopt a 1-3 month old puppy and it primarily stays as an indoor dog, can it still develop some sort of vaginal infection?
I guess I'm scared if I take it on walks a lot, it might end up eating or swallowing something that might its vagina infected and I wouldn't know.
- Do I take the dog to a vet during its heat and ask to do a health check? How do I phrase the question in a way that I can ask the vet to check for any vaginal infections without it coming off as suspicious?
- What kind of oil/lube do you guys use for your dog?
- After it's 2nd or 1st heat cycle, is it safe for me to have sex with the dog whenever?

And I guess my other question is:
How was your first time having sex with your female dog? Did it feel better than human pussy or was it better, about the same...?

If you have any other advice to offer, that would be great. :)

Don't get a dog just for sex.
Heck, looking at your post, there isn't a single sentence in there that isn't about sex.

Generally, dogs don't "just get infected", so I don't get what you're so worried about.

Yeah, I get that. I know that's what it might seem like just from my post but that's my pure focus for my questionnaires. I already have everything else figured out and don't have questions on the other aspects of owning a dog. My friends also have dogs of their own and I love playing with them in the dog park and such.

Everything Bloit just said.
As long you take good care of your dogs, they generally won't have any diseases/infections just like that.

Also there is already a plethora of guides/ressources that answers your questions in the forum

I'll just get on the opposite direction.

About any female dog has high chances of, sometime, get UI infection and can be lethal if untreated.

Be ready for it, watch the signs.

Sex with her? as long as higiene is good, it should not be the cause, plus, if you are active you have better chances of detecting it at a very early stage compared with your non zoo friend.

That said... Be prepared in case You MAY get a dog with NO interest in sex. That happens, so be sure you will still be all loving to her if that is the case. Right? Riiight??

Lube, first or second heat... use the search function. All that has been discussed quite in depth plus some interesting guides

Yeah, like the way I see it, sex with my future pet is a nice benefit, but if she doesn't want to, then it's fine.

And how would one "watch for" signs with UI infection? What would I be looking for?

Usually, abnormal secretions and other signs.

Plenty of information about Pyo in vet sites, since it is likely the most deadly problem in unspayed females if it goes unnoticed.

Possibly the taste will change too, but I do not think your local vet will advise that as a test. 😁
