Indeed it is. Southern Africa is a complete growth market for termite exterminators! Step 3? Profit.

I think I may have posted one shot a few days ago where a termite mound was built around a short tree. It's off. Ya, they are eating the wood, but they also defend the tree from other bugs and the tree doesn't die. It's this odd relationship. Maybe termites are running a Mafia style protection racket and we never got the memo?

Lemmie find it.
Well, maybe I didn't post it. No matter. Here it is. What a nice little sunscreen for the termites.
Now I guess we know why most houses in Africa aren't made of wood! If I was prepared, I'd have put a little tropical cocktail drink umbrella on the top deck of the mound, but sadly I was remiss in my duties.

Reloading at a gallop? Now that's soldiering.
It wasn't uncommon, but that hunter wasn't a Soldier. Its one reason though, why a Plains Rifle, like a Hawken, was shorter-barrelled than a Kentucky-Pennsylvania Rifle....What this bo is doin', the Long Rifle isn't possible for. Riding a Buffalo Horse, at speed is....exhilarating. Riding it in among a herd of 2000 lb Buffs would have been.....terrifying. Single shot Rifles, were actually a handicap, compared to a Buffalo Lance, or a Hunting Bow...
But they all brought the hump home for supper
