That Vulture is totally weird. Interesting, but weird. The other, with that striking plumage, is a Red-billed Blue Magpie from Taiwan.There is also a Yellow-billed Mag. Interesting birds....here we have Black-billed Magpies....always around water and cattle, but quite camera-shy. Pretty birds with inordinately long tails....

Most seem to be....These guys have been shot at long enough for that to be ingrained in the DNA. Raise your hands certain ways and they are gone, baby, gone....The yellowbilled ones that live in San Fran are nowhere near spooky.

Like crows, they are supremely intelligent. They even recognise people that have been good or bad to them. Personally, I love them.
