It's not Rockwell but it is worth a look. This was a Saturday Evening Post Cover called 'Sackful of Trouble', 4-14-56, by Dick Sargent. What makes it interesting is that the artist was the second Darren Stevens on Television's "Bewitched". I knew he was an Artist, but didn't know he was this prominent.

A Woodpecker, although I don't know which kind. Just very striking.

A Red-Bellied....so called to differentiate it from the Redheaded Woodpecker. They are quite striking, especially in the winter woods. Suet will bring them in to a feeder. Fun to watch, because the are quite acrobatic.

From a Shaw Burton Calendar of 1950.The Artist is Haddon Sundbloom, who was also doing the Coca Cola Calendars, Santas and The Sprite. I have some fun ones of his as it gets into the late part of the year

This is totally yum, and it gives me a couple of ideas for private conversation

Mmmmhmmm....I once had a sub who would come home from work, strip off, and leave a trail of clothing, which by "request", she would photograph and text to me. She seemed to think if I came home in the dark, she'd be easier to locate < grinnn>...I never disabused her of such a silly notion.
