I'm still staggered by some of the stumps I've encountered up here - Was at a place near Granite Falls where there were 20-foot high Fir stumps that 10 men couldn't have touched hands around. Complete with the springboard notches they cut in 'em to reach the point where the "root-flare" wouldn't be part of the log still visible under the moss. If the giants (that likely would have been barely twigs when the stumps were cut) around them are any indication, I'd have to guess at 10-15K+ board-feet per tree, maybe more.Morning, Miz R. Makes you wonder how gullible people are....But then a few years ago I had some kidult telling me they couldn't have logged out the Redwoods because no one had a saw that long....
