Dead battery, but the work has to be finished today ?

I remember being trapped "up there" twice in one of those.
One was our fault. We were overloaded, so safety triggered... only when we reached 20ft. They had to come to the rescue with second machine and two of us got off it to reduce weight.
The other time... battery depleted while going up. Ok, so... no power for hidraulic lift? Fine, just let me open a measy relief valve to go down... No. It wont. Someone had to come with a cable roll and plug us in.
NEVER use one of those alone ?
