Phillips is an interesting company. Among other things, they created the compact disc in cooperation with Sony.

Yeah they did. Sony needed a way out of the tape dilemma, beta v VHS. Beta was clearly better, but VHS got the drop. I Liked Beta. As an Audio recorder you could put a whole day of tunes on one similar sized to a 3 hr VHS cassette, the sound heads were far better, And overall tge Betamax deck was more compact.

I was quite partial to Constance....She was a beauty, and a very dear lady. Joan and Barbara were fine actresses, but Constance was... Constance. She was Mrs Coulter, when I met her, and she passed not real long after....at 61

Crosley is a "loyalty and nostalgia" name today....its used to attract my contemporaries or older as a brand they know. But in the 30s through the early 60s they were a contender. Admiral, Westinghouse, GE, RCA, powerhouses of merchandising that are mostly junk these days

Halloween Candy never really changes....the names do, but the products remain the same. The Milky Way was known in Britain as The Mars Bar. A Mars bar here was a confection with six almond halves on top under the chocolate. Today they put chopped almonds in the Nougat, instead of using better grade nuts on top.
