Adoption for a mare

Thinking of adoption for a mini mare for fun. Any suggestions when choosing one to make sure she’s receptive? Have had a mate be both receptive and non receptive before and the first is way more fun! Or if anyone has one in the mass area would like to try her out asap! STRAIGHT male.

Well you really can’t know for sure before buying. I’d recommend getting one that’s confortable around humans and if you want maybe one that’s been bred before

Are there other reasons you want to adopt other than fulfilling your animalistic urges?

I have cared for and properly. I make sure the mare enjoys it as much as I do
Wow, almost 2.5 years before a reply that really doesn't answer my question regarding the level of your experience. I've interacted with well over 100 equines over my some 50 years as a caretaker/keeper and helping tend room mates equines.

The 'country' vet where I used to live equated 'experience' thusly which I found interesting (and logical mathematically): If one has one equine for one year they gain a year of equine experience, 2 equines for one year would equate to two years 'experience' and so on. These past 25 years I've been tending 4 to 15 equines every day. By this formula that would put my 'experience' level in the hundreds of equine years. Just sayin'.

P.S. I would say that the equines here ('mine' and my room mates) are equally VERY experienced. *grins and winks*

Yeah I was stagnant for awhile lol I’ve cared for 2 horses for 3 years. Would be a great addition to my farm as well as a great companion. Mutually beneficial for both parties.
