Any other autistics here?

I read an article once that said zoo-sexuality was more common among us but I’ll if it’s true or not
Generally speaking those on the spectrum tend to be more adept and comfortable with forming bonds with animals than with other humans. So from the standpoint of the proper definition of zoophile as "animal lover", someone more comfortable with relating to animals than humans would be considered an "animal lover", but that doesn't automatically lead to the narrow minded public view of zoos as purely "animal fuckers".

Why do you people think it's so COOL to say you have autism, Asperger's, AD, HD, ADHD, OCD OR PTSD? Without ever having been diagnosed! What kind of FAKE, twisted enjoyment are you getting from just running around and saying you have them??

Have you ANY idea how hard life can be for a REAL victim of one these afflictions? No, you do not, and you hardly even care. Life for them can be, in some cases, nightmare difficult, and there you are, just casually saying for some stupidly insensitive reason,
"Oh yeah, I'm an aspie" or "Yeah, I'm in the spectrum" or "got me some adhd and autism."

You don't get to decide for yourself you have one of these. There are REAL people actually suffering!
There are specific TESTS for all these afflictions, administered ONLY by mental health professionals.
Get it into your head: If you were never TESTED AND DIAGNOSED for any of them by a professional,
you do NOT have them!

Aside from the Kids born prior to about 1965, when these inabilities were named and accepted problems, diagnostics are available and relatively simple. Treatments, not so much, obviously. Some will grow out of the related issues. I think it still leaves marks, but as an adult, most people wouldnt notice.

What I HAVE noticed, though, is people with genuine diagnoses get really pissed off at people who make the claim without proof...And they have a right to.

Well considering zoophilia is my special interest perhaps 🤔

(Jk I’m undiagnosed cuz I’m too lazy to follow up on the 70 billion referrals psychs give me. Even though I literally never follow up.)

So according to *some* of the comments I’m nt as of late! Though I geuss my meltdown from cleaning my room today was just quirkiness!

I hope I’m faking. Even though the autism wasn’t even my idea. I was aiming for bpd (old special interest might have who knows. No one. I’m just quirky?) :/

Your first paragraph is spot on.
If I were a parent of a child with one of those conditions, I'm afraid I would lose it with one of these snowflakes faking it, and using it for...WHATEVER insensitive reason they are.

*Yells at people for not being able to diagnose themselves.*

*Believes they have the knowledge to diagnose someone with faking.*

Icon!

It means, simply, that people who live in glass houses should not throw stones. After nearly 70 years of observation, I've noticed that people have two ways of looking at a problem. Viewed as a disability, or a handicap, issues generate arrogance, more often than not. Viewed as a challenge, issues generate skills, and sometimes new abilities. But the statement I made wasnt THAT deep.

Why do you assume none of these people have been tested or assessed?

Thank you for explaining.

Guess you’re omnipotent and have access to everyone’s medical records or something
Well I self reported as not being diagnosed but still saying I have autism. So they have *some* basis.

Actually, smart-ass, it's pretty damned easy to tell when someone is faking their so-called "problem". Especially when you're someone who DOES have the problem they're LARPing. "Knowledge from living on the inside" trumps *EVERYTHING* that the book or the movie might have to say on the topic.

Who needs that, when they LIVE WITH ACTUALLY HAVING THE CONDITION on a daily basis? Those who are especially hard hit stand out like a dick growing off the end of your nose to most. Those of us who aren't as bad off are harder to spot, but the signs are there to be recognized and read - ESPECIALLY by others who have been living it, rather than reading about it and pretending they've got it.

Never been on board with the self-diagnosis crew but the idea that people are trying to be cool is ludicrous
Why? "Cool" has driven a lot of social change, artistic change, and other stuff since the late forties, at least. Dean and McQueen weren't symptoms, friend. They were drivers.
