Why would I vote when both choices are wrong?
They're only wrong for you bud and I can't taste what you taste and when I google it, google says peppery... Added a third option that says citrusy

I've heard it tastes peppery or some shit but idk, if I'm wrong let me know as I can't taste anything but soap...
The correct question is how can you not.
The answer is genetic, more specifically a variation in the olfactory-receptor genes. For some people cilantro tastes like soap due to this, for others it does not. To me it tastes like a citrusy parsley. Funnily enough my father states that it tastes like soap to him, but he didn't pass those genes onto me. Not sure how it tastes for my mother, I've never asked.

The "genetic" explanation for idiots with bad tastebuds has been disproven.

Now basil on the other hand, that shit is just plane repulsive. Even the smell makes you want to vomit.

Disproven where exactly?

Disproven where exactly?

Don't worry about it, he just wanted to bitch at someone... It's why he fucked off when I showed him there's no right or wrong just perspective..... He should look into "is my red your red"

Down here in Tejas, where our food culture was heavily influenced by our mexican neighbors, cilantro is less an herb and more a way of life. Go to any taqueria, food truck, friend's grandma's table, any sit-down dine-in mex restaurant, or be warmly accosted by surprise offerings from parking-lot vendors who sidle up behind you calling "tamales?". Guarantee you'll find those green leafies in just about everything on the menu, maybe except the tamales lol. Cilantro is nearly always paired with two essentials: diced white onion, and lime. Whoever espoused that it takes like soap is probably not preparing it correctly -- namely, with the onion and lime aforementioned. If eaten plain and raw, I'm going with floof's citrusy-parsely but YTMV, Your Tongue May Vary.

We just went through this.... It's not about preparation, it's genetic....
