What is it like being a zoofur and how has it affected you?

I feel that it's *mostly* separate so it hasn't affected me a whole lot. My closest furry friend is accepting which I'm grateful for. We are in a petplay relationship, and being their owner I trust them with nearly all of my intimate feelings.
 
Hate me for saying it but all these wierdo terms why do we need a special laber for every imaginable combo of desires . I am a guy who likes being treated a a woman in bed , sometimes, also i love my dog , and we have sex when ever we can, i dont need a special label to make me feel better. Even ppl and groups who are marginalized by the rest of society they find ways to hate each other... furrys hate zoos and so on, ppl have waaay to much time on therr hand.

You summed it up amazingly, some people spend way too much time in their own cesspool of "like-minds."
 
Being a zoofur has always been on the back burner. And only 1 person irl knows im into yiff. (He had seen it on my phone because i didnt close it.) It doesn't really affect my life but my family is starting to think I'm gay because I haven't had a girlfriend in like 6 years... Anyways, I've got a puppy I'm raising now and he is about 5mo. I'm in my own house too so life is good.
 
I also cant speak in general. In my opinion, generally, furry has nothing to do with zoo. I've experienced quite a few furries, usually young; for which furry is just being different, playing a character. There are also anti-zoos, plus the community tends to be rather sensitive about reputation after it became somewhat mainstream. Sometimes people even change their species upon first real encounter. That wolf is feisty, just rolled in some bad stuff, hairs everywhere..so next time, id rather be a tiger:p I for myself keep furry rather seperate from my normal life and zoo seperate from that all. A few good long time friends now whats going on but thats it. Nothing to display or talk about it.

I also like to keep that level of compartmentalization in my life. I like to do the zoo thing and the furry thing. Sometimes together but more often apart. I find as long as I am careful about mixing the two I don’t run into too many problems.

History has proven that he who points a finger and attacks and accuses someone of something is normally the one who is at fault and guilty of doing that exact act or thing. In this case I do agree with you that people who out ZOOs are guilty of being ZOO themselves but are in denial and struggling with who they are. Always remember that he who points a finger at another normally has three fingers pointing right back at themselves.

To me it just feels so strange how zoos went from like a fixture in the fandom to outright pariahs in the course of the last ten or fifteen years. It's like I was living in a decent house and then the HOA mandated the removal of the roof just in time for hurricane season.
 
Anyone who doesn’t dip their toes into e6, an image on there blew up a week ago or so with a furry burning a zeta flag saying zoos aren’t welcome. Even the porn side of the community isn’t accepting. The couple users brave enough to stand against the tide were given swift bans

That makes me furious, but also about par for the course. E6/BD has to make its advertisers happy, and that means deplatforming us and letting people shit on us with no defense.
 
English-speaking furries seem to be by far the most anti-zoo. I've almost entirely switched to furry sites where no one speaks English and rarely ever see zoo hatred, unlike English language sites where it's constant.
 
Aa i said i never understood this hatred from furries , i am not one but i wouldnt join a community even if i was if i felt hated there. Tbh i enjoy zooville because of the community but i dont care about these labels much at all, maybe i am old fashioned or just different. Bottom gay guy who likes dog and horse cock , simple.
 
It has made it a little tricky but for me I find it helpful using ferals as a medium to express those fantasies to other furs. I find that a few discord servers with porn, roleplay, or AI furry generation have some zoo's if you're looking hard enough. Just have to be careful and take it slow, I usually let the other party open up themelves first. Lol
 
No, I keep the two separated for safety reasons. Anyone who is a furry knows that the majority of them are ant zoos they say. Then seeing them love anthropomorphic with animal genitalia.
