I can only imagine the amount of time and energy it takes to keep a site like this running with any level of cohesion and without it devolving into a full blown dumpster fire. Thank you for everything you do.

That is a bit unfair given that this very question has already been answered at least 10 times in this very thread alone. I understand people not always getting the difference between a thread and a post, but is it really so hard to read a little? Sometimes this question is posted *right under* the previous answer.

I mean the button at the bottom of the page is literally called "Post reply". So if you need 20 posts, you probably need to push the Post button.
Another option is to do something and look into your profile at the post counter and seeing if it moved or not.
Where the post counter is, is mentioned in the rules which you are supposed to read when you register.

I feel old reading about people not understanding how to internet these days.
Together with questions like "How do I take a dick pic." or "Where is the porn section" It makes me think we are doomed as a species when the simple action of scrolling on a display is too complicated for some.

It does feel a lot smoother. You'll notice image loading staggering sometimes, but then it continues.

I agree with you. Still, I've spent enough time trying to teach people technology to know that what one person finds obvious is not so for another.
This complete disinterest in even trying to skim a few posts for the answer is much more indicative of the direction things are going.

Well in your case your account is old enough that you can still PM, so it's just the title change.

It's perfectly fair. Not everyone has the same level of comprehension, for various reasons (like ESL for example)....they may need it laid out differently for them to "get" it. That aside, one has to make an active decision to reply with snark or sarcasm, when they could have just ignored the question if they didn't feel like answering. You can tell a lot about a persons character based on how they act without a perceived repercussion.

*chuckles loudly* Trust me, you'll discover all too soon what it really feels like to be old when you actually get 'here'. A goodly part of my time is spent reminiscing of days gone by, struggling to get through another day. If not for the 'true love' of animals I don't know that I'd be able to survive this increasingly insane (human) world.
 
Thanks, even though I can't send pictures via PM due to this update anymore till I hit the 150 posts count, I appreciate this updated policy very much. It always made me feel bad that you could browse the forum and search it without an account. We don't need lurkers, antis, crawlers and bots gobbling up our posts and other information about us our life and preferences.

Edit: This only applies to accounts created after July 13th, 2021. All older accounts are grandfathered in the old ruleset, so report them and we will ban them slowly over time.

The attachment in PMs was restricted well before you joined or the other PM requirements were enacted Thread 'Attachments in PM and DM Update' https://www.zoovilleforum.net/threads/attachments-in-pm-and-dm-update.8177/
 
Even funnier to see these long time members who suddenly can't DM with newer people yet somehow can't seem to NOT spew their rule violating shit in public on profile messages.

i.e......they've been scum all along, but now they are outing themselves.
