Underrated Video Games.

So, anyone here have any games you think didn't get nearly enough praise or anything?, For me, one is the 2006 Prey. I mean, my god, it is an amazing game, not to mention the developers had major balls. For example, this is something you'll encounter early on into the game.View attachment videoplayback.mp4
Yes it's a fucked up scene, but it just goes to show that the devs wanted to convey the danger of the situation. Not to mention they actually got a real radio show host to do these secret broadcasts you can find and listen to.
 
hellblade is a underrated game also it shows psychosis in the most accurate way possible. in my opinion ofc


lets not forget the final battle was so thrilling how she slaughters her foes effortlessly you can feel her betrayal and confusion.

Well with the re release of Kingdoms of Almur. Yeah. I forgot how much fun that game was. I don't think I'll be buying the new one although I am interested in the DLC that they are putting out for it next year. So I guess I'll wait until it goes down in price. Besides this year is devoted to cyberpunk 2077
 
Definitely Shadow of Rome for the PS2 is on the top of the list for me. Some might call it another "hack and slash" game. But they are an example of how to do the genre absolutely correctly. That game is super fun and super addictive! It's a shame it didn't sell very well and no one seems to know about it, so a sequel was never released.

Like don't get me wrong, I fucking love the 2017 Prey. It's like what you would get if System Shock, Bioshock, and Half-Life, got together, had an orgy, and one got pregnant from the other 2, the child conceived would be 2017 Prey. I'm still bummed that Prey 2 never became a thing, because from concept art it looked amazing. From what I can remember, it was going to be open world, set in an Alien city, where you're a vigilante. So think the Arkham series (only from City to Knight), and combine it with say....Star Wars. That's what it was going to be like, but unfortunately it was cancelled.

That game definitely, but I also like GTA, The Sims, BeamNG, Automation, Burnout, RDR, and numerous other games. My taste is quite wide. I also like heavy metal music as well, which may surprise you.

Have you ever played Shadow of Rome?

i think i played every type of "rome" styled i know of. my favorite was a rpg where you can level up the animals in it.

called gladius.

Prey is wholey unique. It's such a good game I do think it drags on for a little come the later chapters (especially the ones where your basically flying around on those ship things I believe it's chapter 12) but over it's so good
 
I also have a soft spot for things like... TWD Survival Instinct. As well as, I'm being totally serious now, Hunt Down the Freeman....ngl I played it and was actually finding myself to be enjoying it, but it's still not a good game, imo HDtF is like...the Half-Life equivalent of The Room. The creator meant to have it be one thing, where instead of what they intended, it turned out to be a comedy, I mean, fucking keemstar is president, THAT is hilarious. As well as the line "you fucked up my face" ?. And especially the whole "you're related to Adrian Shephard" twist. When I first heard that, I couldn't stop laughing at how idiotic it is.

F.e.a.r is extremely under rated and one of the greatest games out there both as a fps and as a horror game. The a.i is some of the best ive ever experienced it makes for intense gameplay and engaging combat sequences when your not in combat your being haunted and it's scary as hell!

greatest unintentional fap scene ever. lel that ending "combat" is so engaging.
 
Something not necessarily a game, but still. I feel like the mod for Half-Life 2, Cinematic Mod, it gets so much hate for no reason. I mean, the sexualizing Alyx thing, you can just use the model that's based on the one in the vanilla game. As for the NSFW graffiti, you can get a mod that removes it. CM13 it's self though is amazing and beautiful, I mean fuck, it adds new side areas to explore and get supplies, cooler weapon models and sounds, more props (like beached/sunken boats in the coast level) and a lot more. What's even crazier is that the entire mod was made by one guy.
 
Oldies but goodies: Afterlife (1996): a sim game about heaven and hell ?

Canis Canem (2006): A GTA like game taking place in a high school for bullies ?
