Tooth brushing options

Hey all,
I was wondering what you use to brush your dogs teeth? Brush, paste, dental finger wipes etc.

I recently replaced my dogs brush and toothpaste and she's hating teeth brushing now.
What is a very good and safe toothpaste brand???

I was thinking of trying those finger dental wipes as she's fine with my hands being around her mouth area, but I'm unsure if these will truly keep the teeth clean and freshen breath.

I don't have a dog but I've been brushing cats' teeth for years. Different species but maybe still some help, since the toothpaste I use can be used by both cats and dogs.

The toothpaste we use is called Virbac. Around here it's sold from pet stores and pharmacy. It has a meat flavor (chicken, if I remember correctly) which makes it taste good. Even though those fellas don't appreciate the brushing, they tolerate it because of the taste 😸 It also has this feature that it's good properties stay in the mouth for a while after brushing, which is nice. Not every time I'm able to brush every tooth as good as I'd like.
I once accidentally bought a different tooth paste that for some reason had something like mint flavor and cats loathed it. And I can't blame them.

As for brushes, I use those that are meant for human babies 😹 They're softer, and for me they're also easier to handle.

Hope this helps even a little, even if I can't comment directly about dogs! And hopefully someone with actual dogs can also provide some info ^^

In my opinion, this is unnecessary. Give your dog high-quality food and dried beef scalp with fur to chew every two or three days, and his teeth will be clean. Even my older dogs have gleaming white teeth and absolutely no bad breath. A nice side effect of good food is also a shiny coat and low vet costs.
