I am a zoo, I know that much. I am attracted to animals. Obviously. However, is it possible to not be attracted to your own animals but be perfectly fine with animals that don’t belong to you???
I’ve had so many run ins with other zoos that will make comments on my babies, assuming that I am intimate and I see them that way, and I get completely grossed out when it’s my own pets. That’s completely normal right? Like not being attracted to your dad but perfectly okay with your bf type deal?

Sounds normal to me. Family and friends can feel of limits as romantic partners, so seeing your pets as your "babies" makes it impossible to be attracted to them. Yup, sounds about right. Though I am jealous that you've managed to meet multiple fellow zoos irl.

Surprisingly, I’ve got a few in my area. It’s all silent talk though. We’ve all got nice dog breeds ranging from Malinois to Dalmatians. I’m not surprised if they’ve done anything, but I’ve caught quite a few making passes at my dog where it’s kinda gotten awkward a few times with passive aggression from me lol. I don’t really branch out though, it’s dangerous in my area.

Just because you are a zoo doesn't mean you are attracted to everything

Whether its conscious and deliberate or not, infantilism is the entire root of the problem you're having. Like the rest of our batshit, bullshit "furbaby" society, you are ascribing baby status to something that is not, in fact, a baby. Stop equating animals to human children. They are NOT "fur-kids"; they are the adults of their species. When you begin to scratch the surface of understanding that they are adults with their own agency, this problem goes away.

A married couple considers themselves family as well; yet they still fuck. Treat your relationship to your animals the same way. A zoophilic pairing shouldn't be giving you incestuous or pedophilic vibes, because it shouldn't be counted as that kind of family. Which circles around back to what I said: that animals are not "furbabies". Whether you pivot from babies to a brother or a father, the problem is the same as it was: you're still looking at your dogs thru the wrong lens. We can't really help you there. You have to change your own perceptions, find your own reconciliation.

I state again. You’re weird for trying to justify having sexual relationships with something considered family. OBVIOUSLY. I’m gonna be fine with my partner. I am also a NON CONTACT zoo. Therefore I refuse to put my hands on animals ANYWAYS. It’s just disgusting when people assume that I’m in relationships with my animals simply because I have animals. I’m not exclusive to animals. But animals IN MY FAMILY will not be touched. And if you get a pet solely for the purpose of having sexual relations, I find you a bit odd.
