Well personally, I like to put a bit of weed on top of my tobacco pipe myself.Well, I meant tobacco, but other things are good subjects too.
The basic pros of weed are obvious. But what about it might be a pro that isn't obvious?
When I was a teenager I tried smoking a bit of catnip. It's related to Marijuana but doesn't have the thc. Has a very subtle effect but It worked more to scratch the itch than anything.I knew a guy, he told me about how he was rolling a cigarette with sage at a pub in England and the bartender said "I can't believe you're doing that." because it looked like he was rolling a joint. He was all innocent, saying it was sage.
I'm pretty sure my guy knew what it would look like, and he was provoking them for entertainment.
Sagebrush works better for this than sage. ;-)
That's the more scientific answer I was too lazy try to remember at the moment, so I went with just the basics of how it makes me feel. LolTobacco has a few benefits. The low oxygen environment it creates converts more testosterone to DHT, it's a much stronger androgen that increases overall testosterone reception. So it can be helpful for that. Nicotine also binds with your nicotinic receptors, the receptors in your muscles that tell them to "work". So it can give a temporary performance boost, allowing you to activate more muscular neurons to do things like heavier lifts.
biggest problem with it is tolerance. Smoking a pack a day causes your body to down-regulate the receptors ultimately leading to no benefits and a reliance on them just to be in a "normal" state. Having Something like one cigar or cigarillo is much more beneficial. It's the quantity of cigarettes that gives most detriment.
Plus there's the general uplifting energizing aspect. I'll occasionally have some nicotine instead of caffeine to avoid a reliance on either.
Tobacco is a little over-demonized. Like anything it all comes down to control, and the how's and why's you use it.

Plus I've been drinking a bit tonight so I'm a little extra stupid at the moment. Haha![]()
Heh. I tried smoking catnip. No effect... of course I knew it was unlikely, but... well.. wanted to try it. The pro is that the leftover smoke actually smelt good. (even as a smoker, i have to say that stale tobacco smoke is nasty)When I was a teenager I tried smoking a bit of catnip. It's related to Marijuana but doesn't have the thc. Smoking what?It gives me a really good growl. Mmmmmrrrrrgggghhh.
the correlation could be due to smokers dying of cancers before parkinsons develops though..Smokers are substantially less likely to get Parkinson's disease
I don't mean this critically, rather it's a sincere question, what are your credentials for the conclusions you just expressed; and what evidence do you have?Tobacco has a few benefits. Not really sure how to answer your question tbh. I don't think I really made any conclusions there. Just explained some of the things that take place. You mean go into more detail like how do nicotinic receptors work? Nicotine binds with the receptors causing them to open allowing sodium to enter; the sodium causes the muscle contraction.I don't mean this critically, rather it's a sincere question, what are your credentials for the conclusions you just expressed; and what evidence do you have?
tobacco, on my partSmoking what?
Yes, that was the most troubling part for me. Thanks for trying to explain itNot really sure how to answer your question tbh. I don't think I really made any conclusions there. Oh wait, maybe you mean this part:

The numbers (25 cigarettes vs 1 cigar) are just to give contrasting frequencies, as well as contrasting method (inhalation with oral absorption). I don't actually suggest a cigar / day. I'm sure it wouldn't be the worst thing, but personally I'd go days in between to fully clear the chemicals, and only use it as needed. It's just an example to illustrate the dosage being the poison. I have no idea what the optimal frequency of nicotine use would be since I don't believe any trials have been done.
No credentials. Just lots of research reading, then trying things out.
Tests were done with athletes and chewing gums. It's not intresting.I don't believe any trials have been done
I know there are studies showing it can improve strength in gym -Tests were done with athletes and chewing gums. It's not intresting.
More over the nicotine fucks up the muscles recovering.
Thing about dht and hair loss is that it depends on the amount of receptors and dht available in the head. That's why there's the old cliches with bald guys bragging they're more manly. It's not entirely accurate, because it really just means they have more hormones around their head follicles; it doesn't necessarily mean they also have it in more useful contexts. Someone could be full of dht, but with few receptors in the scalp they'll keep their hair.Since the topic is cig and not nicotine alone, here's something that will shade the DHT argument (DHT that may be one of the reasons why people that doesn't breath during sleep loose their hair and have heart issues...)

The title is simple. Cigs won't make you harder.
So here's a true pro :
Loss of smell.
It makes dog farts less agressive.
Dude fuck ! LolIve already had to replace a lung (not due to smoking) so best I don't make it worse lol
However I still smoke weed which oddly enough has helped with the transition despite what my doctors have warned.
Indeed! Smoke rings are cool. I can make smoke rings - sometimes - but I have yet to make very impressive ones.... Smoke rings , ...

That is one of Gandalf's impressive abilities. The dwarves too, but no surprise the wizard was better at it.
