We have been holding off sharing photos and videos because that's how most secrets become public. Someone mentioned not sharing the "metadata/exif". Any tips on how to share our fun anonymously and securely? I dont want a beastforum debacle.

if youre deciding to, your camera/device should have those settings option in its main menu. and then there are editing programs that can remove the info from pictures (thats all im aware of)

Yeah I do not want to see the GPS info on any pictures or videos again, BFs system failed once and they lied their asses off about it

how so? also what what guarantees that this site doesnt do that as well? a lot of people migrated from BF to here, whos to say it wont happen again? just gotta be safe everywhere you visit *insert thinking guy meme*

BF had software that stripped the info for you, I never trusted it myself and noticed the GPS info on a video I downloaded. Someone spoke out about this and the Mods denied it fully.

Here there is no such system in place that I am aware of so everyone needs to take care of their info themselves.

BF didnt strip GPS from anything. i know this for certain.

also, videos can have GPS metadata in them, and is a pain to strip if you don't have the right tools. (i have an ffmpeg script which does this, but it's pretty arcane)

i don't think zv should strip metadata, that encourages people to be lazy. instead, zv should *block* uploads with gps in them and tell people why it was blocked. it would force people to learn to strip the metadata themselves.
