I grew up on a farm where we also had pigs. We never had to do that for health reasons.
I am sure this idea of health reasons for castrations is from dogs. Some bitches has their wombs removed to avoid infection.
Especially at the farm the small boars were castrated (euphemistic called neutering) because the meat of some boar got a bad taste when they grew up.

Farm animals are not neutered for health reasons. They not dogs and cats.
Stallions and bulls are usually neutered to make them easier to handle and to prevent them from reproducing, and in the case of pigs/sheep/goats, to prevent their meat from having a strong male flavor.
Never for health reasons, and never female farm animals at all (99%).
