This is Frances Dee, about 1932. A fine actress for sixty years, just after this pic, she met Joel McCrea and married him. She was the type who took all the studio classes, dance, enunciation, riding Fencing, Dress, Makeup on and off screen. He was known for ignoring all that. He bought a ranch in Thousand Oaks, famously saying....." If The Studio wants me, they know where to look for me". The styles differed, but the two were married for 57 years.
