LOL i am in my late 20s. I just find many people to always be negative regarding situations where a little bit of positivity could have helped them greatly. People are so quicky to jump to the negatives or assume the worst. Im a huge believer in glass half full, but the world is full of ups and downs, i think what matters is our attitude during the negative moments in our lives big or small.

I'm pretty pessimistic but I make sure to stay positive around other people cause I don't wanna bring them down with me

Many people often have a facade, Its human nature. While i and I'm sure many others appreciate your efforts to keep good energy around them.. Don't feel weird to share your true emotions with those who you hold close to you. If your relationships are genuine, no amount of negativity or venting should scare anyone away. That's what friends are for! Support each other through anything and everything.

The brain loves to cherry pick the negative thoughts at all times. That's why positive self talk is super useful, just like training an animal, you need to train your brain. Its okay to have negativity at times, but teaching the brain to not only pick those negative thoughts in all situations is what i think is most important.
