Outside of sexual relations, how does you dog show you affection?

I had a girl that would get all excited when I came home from work (as dogs do), and she would run to the door, tail wagging, (as dogs also do), but then she would do something I had never seen a dog do... she would just smaile at me... top lip curled up, teeth showing, whole body "wagging" uncontollably. It was super cute and adorable.
 
My dog rubs his head into me. Preferably into my face. Really puts some weight into it. He grew up around cats, so maybe he saw it there. :D
 
I had a nonsexual relationship with a family dog. She'd show affection by lying down next to me on the sofa, or climbing into my lap and resting her head on my shoulder.
I really miss her...
 
one of my boys is also a leaner, the other one is old fashioned "give belly rubs" guy and my girl pushes whatever bit is currently pointed at me to get rubs and loves kissing.
 
Meets me at the stairs, by my side bouncing until I sit, then it's kisses, as he stands on my lap, then a hug. this take 5-6 minutes everytime I come in the door.
