Older dog new tricks

I have a question for experienced members regarding a 4yr old male intact Pyrenees my gf i have. About 8 months ago I admitted to her my zoo kink, and luckily she was intrigued and we took small steps. She already had a female heeler and female border collie, neither which was very interested because they're super well mannered dogs. So we start dog shopping for male dogs this time because she agreed to let one hump her (as long as he doesn't get inside)...she loves pugs so we settle on a pug and in the meantime I get a young Pyrenees. Well needless to say the pug was a pussy monster, absolutely LOVED licking. To the point you'd have to fight him to make him stop, the Pyrenees not would lick some but nothing like this pug. And eventually we started making him fuck her and he was a natural, it was picture perfect just like in some porn videos. And in the meantime we were given a huge 4yr old male Pyrenees, of course our minds were in the gutter wondering if this monster would do the things that the pug does. Well our questions were answered with a no, we've got him to mount her but not with the luck we had with the pug. And sadly the pug was hit by a car a few weeks ago so now our full attention is on the Pyrenees. My question is, since the Pyrenees was already 4yrs old and had never did anything with human woman before, is it maybe a waste of time to try to "train" him for lack of a better word? Has anyone on here got a dog of that age with good luck? Thanks for any tips

so you have a young and "older" (4 is in his prime not old btw) pyreneses? as in two?
some dogs are not interested in sex, it's as simple as that. it's not about the age.

one of my boys was four when i got him, neutered when he was around six months old and he does try things from time to time just from observing me messing around with the other boy. i think it is just him seeing others having sex which somewhat sparks his interest, he probably didn't get to see much of that in these three and a half years he spent in a shelter alone.

maybe try having "regular" sex with him in the room?

Yes, sorry my explanation wasn't very thorough. But i have two Pyrenees, one about 8 months old the other is 4yrs old. And I've even thought about bringing the heeler inside with him once she goes in heat to see if that would maybe trigger him?
