That title describes my approach to animals as potential partners. It would also apply to human partners.

Simply stated, "Here I am." Animals will tell you Yes or No. Respect their free will. Be polite and considerate.

When among horses,. I never brought any kind of restraints, nor any kind of treats. I made them want to come to my open hands, because I treated them well. Horses will present themselves like that.

When an animal presents itself, whether it's a horse backing up to you, or a dog wrapping itself around your leg, the answer to the question of consent is obvious.

The best counter-argument I've seen is, You're exploiting the natural confusion of the animal. I'm not quite sure how to interpret that. Is the human somehow evil by confronting the animal with opportunity?

Sexual activity should be an enjoyable experience shared among consenting participants. It's a simple rule to live by regardless of what species may be involved.

Very Well Said - Agreed.

How does one know when an animal is "confused" in this natural situation. Since there is absolutelybno way a person can definitively say an animal is "confused", their argument is moot.

They would show definite signs of their lack of interest. They would stay with you and not run away because of their love for you. However some animals would try to escape the situation. But as you say there is no absolute way a person can say for certain that the animal is confused.

I agree it would be obvious that the animal is not interested so therefore let it be, just leave it alone. But to imply that somehow a person is intentionally confusing the animal (I have no idea what that could mean) and thus "pressuring" it to do something that does not come natural or is not what they want, makes no sense. I feel they are trying to impart human characteristics upon the animal, such as feeling shame for indulging in such activity.

Well said! As far as I see it anyone forcing an animal to have sex with them is literally just a rapist.
Sex should be something that's wanted and enjoyed by everyone involved.
