Idk if this is a hot take but ill have to go on a tangant for my question some species dude to scientific study are getting more intelligent I think I read somewhere dolphins are as smart as humans and chimps have enters there own stoneage my question is this if these animals have agency and can be proven conscious and have a sense of self is it considered zoophilia to have sex with them ? Sorry if its to weird I just wanted to hear some opinions

I think you can clasify zoophilia as sex with a non human animal and in that case it would still be zoo. The legal status may change though.
I would say most mammals like dogs but probably even rodents and definitely some birds have a sense of self.
There is a communication issues between those and humans which makes recognizing these abilities difficult, but when you spend a longer time with an animal you start seeing these subtle behaviors.
There is a long history of people trying to make animals something less than human for obvious religious and other reasons which in my opinion holds back the progress of recognizing higher intelligence in animals.
