Also how do you "follow" someone? I'm not seeing the option anywhere. And I feel kind of bad when someone follows and I can't follow back

Hey welcomeee and it should just appear once you click on their profile if not just try replying to a few more threads u might not be established enough hope this helped?

Yeah. That makes sense. Not really on much though or if I am it's usually only for a few minutes before getting distracted.
