How would i go about getting my dog interested?

Im a male, and my dog is male. He likes to lick but he doesn't seem interested in mounting, to be honest ive never even seen him hump like anything im wondering if there are ways to get a dog interested or should i just give up? I dont really wanna keep trying if its pointless to keep trying, that being said if theres something i can do to make him a bit more interested id love to know about it

Can you find someone with a female dog and like take some of its fur as scent and maybe the pheromones from female dog will help?

Ok I didn’t know that, never mind. I was thinking that something similar is done with horses for the insemination process where they have a female horse there since this is done and usually not considered unethical.
