There should be a like button to the bottom right of each post, next to a reply button. If you hold it down it will come up with a few more reactions to choose from
I think it's only the DMs that you have to reach 10 posts to unlock

Yes, you need at least 10 posts on threads (except fun & games) before you can unlock conversation features.
