Goats are…..

Mischievous and destructive as hell. Got a windshield on your truck? They'll climb up the hood and break it. Got lattice glass french doors on your house where they can walk up the deck? They'll break it. Got goat (square) mesh fence? Good, they'll still find ways to get their heads stuck in it. Then all the other goats gang up and crash the one stuck. Did I mention the climbing? They climb. up. everything. They get into everything. Eat everything. Play with everything. Spread everything they got into.

Nope, I would not recommend goats for a newbie. Goats are advanced level ranching and patience and putting-up-with. And for a zoo, they don't even make good lovers (either gender).
