That is a good question.
Dogs need the knot to be held. Pressure on the back side of the knot is the key.
Female dogs have a special ring muscle in the vagina that does it, it is quite strong. You ass also has a ring muscle, but it is built to allow things to go out, not in. So you have to make sure the knot is held.
