finding your first partner (not ad)?

I've been super curious about having a four legged partner and was wondering what kinda breeds would be a nice start. I was hoping the community would help nudge me in the right direction for my first time furry partner (doesn't need to be a dog).

Depends on your preferences and your ability to care for your animal. Dogs are among the easiest and less expensive animals to care for. If you have property, herd animals become more viable. I am a horse person myself, but they are quite expensive and time consuming.

The advantage to dogs- you can have them in your home and with you more than herd animals. Having that privacy is a HUGE benefit.
