2025 Zoo Pride: Aligning with the Z.E.T.A. Principles

Let's redefine Zoo Pride by aligning it with the Z.E.T.A. Principles—Zoosexuals for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. These principles guide us in treating animals with the respect and care they deserve:

  • Reciprocity: Treat animals with the same kindness you would wish for yourself. This includes providing comfortable living conditions, adequate nutrition, and gentle handling.

  • Equality: Value an animal companion's well-being as equally important to your own. This means ensuring that animals have their needs met, including physical health, mental stimulation, and emotional support.

  • Consent: Prioritize an animal's will and well-being over human desires for sexual gratification. Ensure that any interaction is consensual and that the animal is not coerced or forced.

  • Education: Inform those seeking knowledge about bestiality and zoophilia without promotion. Provide factual, unbiased information to help individuals make informed decisions.

  • Discretion: Discourage bestiality in the presence of fetish seekers. Promote a culture of respect and privacy in zoosexual interactions.

  • Integrity: Oppose the sexual exploitation of animals for financial gain. Ensure that animals are not used as commodities for human pleasure.

I try to live up to these principles. What I would like to se though, is a clarification on consent. Obviously the animal should not be coerced or forced, but does this include learned helplessness?
