Back in '05ish I had a coworker who sitting at lunch one Monday casually and proudly regaled us with a story of how he woke up in a hospital on Saturday with alcohol poisoning pamplets on the bedside table, having passed out in a gutter needing to have his stomach pumped.

I have had the pleasure of helping to rescue a few people near that condition in the past. Since that time I have extremely low regard for people who drink too much without the ability to manage themselves.
