It was spontaneous. In my case, I knew the word 'zoophilia' and understood the meaning. That was it.

It all started when my dog Tony started licking my face one night. That was normal. We would lie on my bed and at some point he would always come up to me and lick my face.

When I started to be interested in sex, I think I didn't know much about it, practices or terminology. I believe it's the combination of hormones, curiosity, being horny, not having outlets for the urges, and just having a dog nearby. The urges, being stronger than social, cultural, religious taboos inculcated at the time, led to experimenting with the only option available.

I was always curious, more romantically than sexually at first, and after some time and research I found out about bestiality. I struggled for a long time with guilt, but have come to terms with how much more attracted I am to animals.

Knew about it before I had any first experiences. My first impressions of it were very negative, I was only familiar with the typical zoophilia = animal abuse narrative.
