DDOS Attacks, Server Load Issues and Donations.

Is crypto really the only way to support the site? I just tried to sign up for coinbase and it requires more info than I'm happy to provide to sign up. Also, the only time I've used crypto before I got burned .

Is there no way to set up an innocuous looking Paypal account, or just provide bank details for an account that is automatically credited to ZV's main account?

Paysavecard could be an option. You can buy it for cash at many places and just submit the code number, the one who receive it can cashout to his bank account. At least that is the only option for real anonymous payment i know.

Do not send bitcoin or other tracable coins unless you know exactly what you are doing.

As of this moment you can use kraken to get XMR.

Give them everything they ask for.

Use the Moreno GUI to create an XMR wallet you actually control. XMR is a privacy coin. The monero client reveals nothing unencrypted or traceable by participating in the XMR network.


With the monero client generate a receipt address specifically for receiving from kraken (or whatever know your customer, KYC source you choose).

Do not use that address for anything but receiving from KYC sources.

Now you can send XMR to the zooville address safely from your wallet through the monero client never kraken (or other company) directly.

The fees for transfer are tiny, the fees on kraken are less so; but a small price to pay for staying out of prison.

Please remember that we do not know who is keeping records and specifically with blockchains there is every reason to expect the information to be preserved longer than your natural life.

It does not matter if nobody is investigating you now.

What matters is leaving clues for a correlative algorithm that may be used in the future.

Thing is, I just want to go in to the banking app on my phone, press a button that says "send money to ZooVille", bosh.

When I tried to sign up for coinbase earlier, they were asking very personal questions. I'm a dual UK/Irish citizen so I thought I might get around some of them exploiting that status, but the sign up process is pretty rigorous,

I just want to give money to a site that I love and want to help with funding.

My suspicion about Coinbase has been fully realized this past weekend. It's not as decentralized as I was lead to believe. Good thing I stopped using it last year.

Most users also have Telegram. Activate your wallet there and you can send, receive, store, and trade cryptocurrencies—it's that easy. As for trust... store a little spare change there to pay for small things, if gone not much damage done..

The banking app doesn't ask you those questions because they already know the answer.

I want to be able to consult a vet about interspecies sexual activity but we don't always get what we want.

If you want to donate safely, there is a way, the way I just described. I know of no easier way. Nothing else to say.

So.. I am not an expert, but could it help to get the forum on to darknet? Like.. onion? Or would that be just as easy to DDOS?
 
I'll donate later this year or early next when I have some money to throw around. hope we can all pull together and get through this. otherwise though happy holidays and remember there's nothing as natural and beautiful as love between man and animals

There is a TOR link at the very bottom of the page. But there are some usability issues when accessing the forum that way.
During the DDoS it was the best way to get a stable connection.
 
the site has been running SO much better in the last few days I've been browsing so whatever change was made was good in my book. and those operating costs aren't THAT much... surely a few whales could keep the site running all year? where do we even donate? does it have to be in btc or something weird like that
 
I do want to remind everyone that this thread is publicly accessible without an account, so whoever is doing DoS or other operations gets direct feedback here.

I would suggest shuttering clearnet access and completely migrating to TOR. Would also partially resolve DoS attacks, or at least make them more annoying to execute.
